Thats to bad that you cant just buy the material seperatly. I might just get that kit that you mentioned for all of the extra stuff and buy replacments from NuShield/
Nushield emailed me today and said that they were going to start carrying the Lilliput size (which is absolutly awesome) but that it would take several weeks to get the die cast and get stock. They said that they would notify me as soon as they are ready to ship.
I just replied to them letting them know that it was pretty urgent and if necessary in the mean time i would cut down to size the closest fit and asked them to recomend the closest fit.
I will keep this thread updated with any info that i get and new developments.
I hope to have something ordered and at my door by next week. I am making swift work of the fabrication of my dash bezel to hold the lilliput (second time is always easier)
A few more finishing layers of bondo and several hours and i am ready to paint. The painting is the hard part though becasue I had to manually color match. Last time I ended up with the right color but a crappy finish becasue it took me so many layers of paint to get it right.
I will stop babeling and go to sleep now
Cheers

I plan on ordering the Full sheet from Write-shield... My buddy just got a Lilly for his
truck, so I figured we could split the full sheet so it would be $35 each... which I think
is acceptable... but $50 for one makes me squirm!
But maybe if u can get an acceptable size from NuShield I'll go that route.....
Looking forward to ur info!
Thanks...

Well I have to think of something fast. I finalized the Custom dash peice and installed the lilliput. I am really pleased on how it turned out.
I haven't heard a anything from Nushield. Although i was on their website and they have something slightly bigger 8" x 5 (approximatly) 3 for 15 bucks. It sucks becasue on their website it doesn't list the dimensions. I had to go and search in google each product to find the dimensions.
This one might not be the closest size but it is the closest that i have found. I am still waiting to hear from Nushield... I will probably hear from them on monday. Let me go see if i can find the link

I haven't tried it on the liliput screen yet, but I have this stuff from Office Depot: Office Depot
It is inkjet printable window static paper. I cut it to fit the LCDC on my cell phone, digital camera, and some other stuff like that to protect their screens. It can be difficult to get on smooth, without air bubbles.

Nushield screenprotectors
I have been corresponding with Mark (VP of marketing for Nushield) and have tested a sample protector based on specifications I gave him. Results are quite promising. The protector fit perfectly and was quite easy to install compared to other non-adhesive screenprotectors that I've used for my PDA's. The current cost is $14.99 for 3 films which should last about a year. The webpage to order them specifically for the Lilliput 7" XGA Touchscreen 619GL-70NP is not yet up but he promised it would be up soon. From there, orders can be placed. In the meantime, I'm using the sample film that he sent me and am quite pleased that my screen is not protected.

Oh you ordered it? Awesome! you actually convinced me to wait for your NuShields!! LOL!
I know they say to replace often... I've had the same one on my IPAQ for about a year
now... and not one mark on it... never even removed it to reclean the screen...
(my buddy has had his even longer.. still never replaced it)
They are just awesome...
MAN.... what should I do now!!! LOL!

I'll be very interested in before/after pictures. I tried the PocketPC protector on my Lilly and it darkened the screen significanly. I don't have a picture specifically of the PocketPC protector, but it looks similar to ther others HERE (look under LCD Screen). Most of these were plastic report covers from Office Depot. I was actually trying to reduce glare.

On my PDA I've always used cut-to-size transparency film under the bezel. Would this work on the lilli?

toooo bad this thread is dead...i have been using the factory plastic layer on which came on the my xenarc for over 5 months now. At night you dont even know its there, but during the day its clearly visible that there is a plastic layer on the screen and bezel...looks a little cheezy.
It does, however, make me feel like i just bought the screen brand new yesterday every time i see the factory plastic stuck on the screen though
Any one have any great ideas before yet?
