I checked Nushield's sight. They have the "Lilliput size" - 3 sheets for 11.99
They say it's a year's supply, but I would guess you could get more than a year out of 3 sheets.

keep us posted on how it goes im interested in this part

Q: Do NuShields distort the image as some other products do?

A: NuShield films are specifically chosen to work with your device's touch screen. Our films can be crystal clear
or provide anti-glare properties as necessary.

nushield...great item

Although its advertised as a Lilliput protection screen, it works perfect with the Xenarc 7" also (that is what i am using it on, a Xenarc touchscreen). Very impressed with the item!!! Finally my xenarc looks like a $400 screen

Initially the edges were pressing against the touchscreen and kept pulling the mouse pointer toward the edge, b/c of the casing but i was able to fix that without much trouble.

One tip, when trying to get a get the edges of the nushield to fit underneath the casing use a paper business card to slide the nushield in there.

I recommend this product to anyone with a touchscreen.

Have any of you guys using the NuShield, noticed any change in the amount of glare on the screen? I'm thinking of buying this product, I just want to make sure it doesn't add more glare.

Hi

I just ordered mine and while I'm waiting for it to come I just though to ask a quick question, so here goes.

How did you install the overlay ? Do you need to open the casing of the LCD or is it installed from the front? I saw the installation video on the nushield website, but is was for a pda.

no you dont have to remove the case...took me about 5 minutes to do. Its pretty self explanatory but here are a few tips.

1. make sure that the glossy side touches the xenarc screen (you have to remove the thin layer of plastic off the nushield protector off first)
2. use a paper business card to stuff the edges inside the case.

here are some pics:
This picture is of my screen installed, with about 5+ months of using the touchscreen (the plastic you see is the wrapping that comes with the xenarc when you buy it new, i never took it off)

This picture is with the nushield protector, looks like there is nothing even on.

I did it all while the screen was mounted on my dash, its pretty simple.

yes its non-adhesive, what keeps it in place is the pressure between the case and the screen.

I have a new film that I just recieved a sample of from Japan that has an anti-reflection vacuum sputtered coating on it and a soft removable adhesive. It also has a hydrophobic low energy coating that will reduce fingerprints. I will send a free sample to two people whom; 1: Have a current need for the film, or is able to compare it with the other films used in this community, 2: Has the ability to take a good photo of the results, and 3: Would be willing to share the photographs and results via this site. If you are interested please write me privately; please be prepared to prove you have a system with an LCD, a camera, and ability to apply the film, take a decent photo, and describe the results. Preferably one person will have a touch panel application and one will have a bare LCD polarizer application.

I import these films from Japan although the soft/removable adhesive is a brand new product offering and I only have samples. If convinced there is a market I would be willing to buy a minimum quantity of this material from Japan and fabricate to any size you specify.

This film is surprisingly easy to apply, much easier than the permantent adhesive materials.
