LCD from DVD player?

Just curious if it would be possible to use the LCD screen off of a portable DVD player and hook up a VGA controller and Touchscreen to it? The portable DVD players are pretty cheap these days, i paid 600 bucks for mine a couple years ago. I actually use it as my main DVD player in the house, and its lasted a very long time and still ticking. Figured this may be a better bet as far as qualilty LCD screens go.

Not that i could do it, if its possible, just wanted to know if its doable.

If you really want to do a cheap conversion project, check out the screen for the playstation, there readily modable to VGA, theres a bunch of posts on here about doing it, although don't expect quality. To do a DVD player, you will probably run into the same problems that you would using a laptop LCD screen to accept a VGA input, theres a ton of posts on here about why that is a bad idea, mainly cause of cost of parts and the lack of standards between different LCD inputs. To get any real quality out of a screen you'll need to make it accept VGA and to do that would probably cost more then just buying a lilliput or other screen outright.

dosent a laptop lcd already use VGA or am i missing something. I really dont care if i spend more money than what a lillyput would cost. I allready have a lillput and Ive had a Gain screen also. In my honest opinion they are both pure crap and not up to quality standards im used to with basicly everything else i buy. But, i was just curious as to if it would work, even if it did i couldnt do it myself anyway.
