My lilliput took a fall.

My lilliput took a fall. One of the pieces on the back of my lilliput is broken a little. It is still connected to the board and I can put it back in its place but I can also lift it up as you can see in the picture.

Does anyone know what this little thing does? Since the fall, I have been unable to get any video through the VGA input. Whenever I turn the LCD on it takes me to some Chinese Letters with the name sammy and then it goes to a white screen. I'm wondering if this is the cause.

I have also ordered a ribbon cable from digitalww. Thinking that it may also be the problem.

The coil is an easy replacement. But I'd say you can just resolder that one right where it came from and you should be back in business. I doubt it's the cable, though that's easy to test too.. Just take it out completely and do a ring on each pin.

yes that looks like an inducing coil, and you should be able to resolder it back in.

Or you could sell me your controller board and i will fix it and keep it

Yeah thats the problem.

I Played with it a little bit and i got the picture to show up. I'm not to good with soldering. So I'm gonna take it to an electronic repair place and get them to solder it.
