RE: New Lilliput - Ribbon Cable Problems

About 3 weeks ago I opened up my lilliput touchscreen to make and in dash fiberglass mold. The mold is all done but when I put it back together the monitor would turn on, but it would not display a picture. I played with the cable a bit and the picture would come on, but the slightest movement and it would disappear again. After some reading I decided to give a new ribbon cable a try to get a better connection. However, after purchasing this cable from digitalww and plugging in the new cable I can not even get the picture to flash on the screen even intermittently. The touchscreen is working
fine and the screen turns on, but it is white. As well the blue side of the cable is up at both connections.

If anyone can give me some suggestions that would be fantastic, because im about ready to buy a new screen if i can't figure this out.

if it turns on and doesnt say "NO SIGNAL" then the problem is with the ribbon connection between the VGA connector and the LCD panel.

047025n,

Go to my webpage www.samshomepage.net look at the setup for version 3, there are pictures showing the direction of the ribbon cables. Pictures aren't the clearest, but you can see the orientation of the cables.

I'm in the same boat. White screen, changed ribbon cable etc but no luck. Totally frustrated by cheap a$$ Lilliput. . Motorcity offered to take a look at it and try to fix if possible. Still waiting after 2 weeks... You can try him if you want.

Look at this picture. Larger one can be found on my site. One side of ribbon cable (blue) is up, other side is down.
