1994 Maxima LCD Install

I have a nice Mini-ITX system that I built. It's currently residing under my car seat however I am having some issues with the LCD.

I want to install a touch screen LCD in the control deck.

Here's a picture of what I have to work with.

Thats not my car exactly, but it's close to it. I either want to take the top out and the bottom out and put a flat screen touch screen LCD in or leave the top in and put a slide out and up LCD screen. Problem is, I have no idea which is the best and I doubt I could find a slide out and up LCD screen that takes VGA input.

Any ideas at all?

Thank You

You can get a slide-out RCA screen and then use the VGA<>RCA converter device (costs $40 on ebay) to convert your signal. Although usually RCA screens have crappy resolution, but if you increase the font you should be able to see what's playing.

What type of 7" LCD would fit in a double DIN? (I was planning on moving the stereo down and putting the LCD up on top of that)

cecplex, hey whats up man i have a third gen max also, i got a 1993 max. I imagine a liliput or xenarc will fit as many others here have put them in double din location on their cars i dont see how it would be different. also i would check out digitalww.com as they have a vga indash housing or as a unit that will fit in one din if thats what your looking for. I however am trying to cram a 10inch monitor in that spot so i guess i have lotsa fiberglassing bondo-ing other fabrication etc. to do. Wish ya luck.
