Lilliput static lines
My lilliput screen in my car has static lines that run horizontally. I believe it is wired to the battery and across the ignition (I had it and the opus installed at an auto store). How can I remedy this?

Ground
I soldered a cable to the outside of the vga connector to a ground in the car. Fixed the issue with my flickering.
Try just holding a cable to the outside of your vga cable and touch a ground wit the other end. It should stop them lines.

I believe that this is a common problem with screens. Mine also does this at the moment, I think mine is due to noise or inpropper grounding at the moment. Will let you know what I did to cure it.

The outside of the VGA cable? Not the 9-pin wire, but after the USB and VGA slit at the end of the cord? Then the metal trapezoid?

Try hooking the power up to the output of the Opus rather than direct to the battery.

I found that when I turn the key to accessories and the computer boots, there is no static. Once I turn the engine the static returns.

Yep, this is because the engine is causing noise in your electical system. Hook the screen up to the regulated output from your Opus, and all the lines will disappear

Oh cool, I thought it was because of an oversupply of voltage. I'll try this tip also, just need to find a ground point.

Before I try Confused's suggestion (being that it would mean quite a bit of work) I would like to try lucho's suggestion. Is there any way to groud the wire other than connecting it to the frame? The reason being, I would like to test this before I go ahead and install such a setup. Is there something I could use to ground it just to test it?

a bolt on the seats, or maybe if it's in the trunk, just touch the frame.
