thats not an option. I have the lilliput custom installed into my dash. I need a new touch panel not a 400 dollar monitor.

If you can fit it, just put it on anyway. If the touchscreen overlaps the lcd, it's no big deal. You can calibrate it with the 4 pt or 25 pt test so that it works correctly.

I know I can calibrate it, but when I insert the touch panel into the housing it hits the plastic where the screws screw in. so I would have to shave those off? Then how will the screen stay together?

If the panel is larger than the lcd, then it's probably not going to fit in the housing. If this is installed in your dash, do your still need the lcd housing. My lcd and touch panel are out of the case and installed in my 2din dash opening.

I had the same problem with the 7" touch panel from Armen - its slightly bigger than the one used in the Lilliput and I had to send it back to him. It's best that you measure the exact size of the Lilliput touch panel (accurate to the last millimetre) and ask Armen if he can replace it with one of the right size.

One more thing - Armen's touch panel came with a FPC that had connectors spaced 0.05" apart. I couldn't connect this to the Lilliput touch controller which uses 0.1" spacing.

My local Lilliput dealer (in Singapore) was willing to get me an original touch panel from the Lilliput factory in China but he wanted SGD90 (about USD53) for it. If you can't get an exact replacement from Armen, I could help you get it from my local dealer provided you pay for shipping.
