Just got my lilliput. questions

Hi all.

got my lilli and im pretty impressesed but just a few questions.

Its not 'quite' as bright as i thought it would be. Its just about fine for daytime use but any dimmer would be basically bad, i woudl have liked it to be a bit brighter. Seems alot of ppl say they are blinding etc etc but i would certainly not say that.

Also the touch screen is great works well but it does add a tiny bit of blurryness to the picture compared to my desktop TFT. You can certainly tell its there.

U guys same?

cheers

You're doing better than many....many of us couldn't get the touchscreens working properly.

That's because it's not running at it's native resolution and it is “stretching” the image. Look around here for people using a program called powerstrip or different drivers to run it at a different resolution. I doesn’t personally bother me, because most touchscreen apps have nice a big fonts that one can’t tell much of a difference.

At night i agree it is too bright by mediaengine's dimmer really does do a good job at dimming it. Suprising really considering its using only gamma and not actually diming the backlight electronically as such.

The blurryness still stands but im happy to accept its just the touchscreen.

Another thing i have noticed, its defo not 400nits wirh the TS on. I have another 7" lcd only composite with a Shanrp brand panel at 300nits and it is defo brighter and whiter than the lilliput next to it. Is this all down the that TS film you think? Defo got a slight yellow hue to it..

Just got my Lilli too. I thought it was too bright!
I had to turn the brightness to minimum for my liking
I've heard people talk about volts input to the screen, check that.

Like I said, mine was too bright. I think I've read other threads on them being too bright. Look around...maybe you got a bad Lilli.
