Is the touchscreen for 619GL-70NP independant of controller board?

Hi all,
I think I have manged to destroy my controller board during an indash housing conversion and have found someone who might be able to sell a spare controller board.
The controller board is the same model number (619GL-70NP) but did not come with a touchscreen. My question is whether this board is compatible with my own.
I seem to remember the touchscreen board just mounted on top of the controller, without any connections but I want to check before I go ahead with the purchase.
