Thought this was an interesting topic for discussion.
Just got my 7" Lilli from the MP3Car store. -Thanks
Works great... except when I'm resetting the resolution or restarting the computer and a signal is not being sent to the screen, I can see the DVD screen for "Jurassic Park" clear as day. Funny thing is, I've never played that movie on my computer as far as I can recall, and more to the point have never displayed it on my new lilli.
I presume that's the source MP3Car used to test for dead pixels etc.
I was of the understanding that LCD's didn't have any burn-in issues, so I did a little googling.
According to
this article, it's rare, but Temporary Image Retention can occur. Thank God they claim it's reversible by more use and by displaying a black screen. I'll try this and see. The "Jurassic Park" image doesn't seem to be noticable when the computer is on, rather only when there's an otherwise blank screen.
Has anyone else run into this? Could it be some kind of backlight burn-in or something like that. (grasping at straws)
What do you guys think?
