Hey nice work... Don't paint yet!!! Looks like you got some wavy lines on the right of the screen. Make sure you get those out before you put on the last coat of paint. May i recommend and block sander and some 120grit.

You are almost there. It really looks great

That is sweet. My brother is getting a new car, so I am thinking of making him switch to a larger screen. When you play with it, does it feel bigger. I guess the questions is: are you feeling that is money well spent?

What is the quality on that thing? I have the perfect way to install it into my '96 Grand Am once I actually have the thing running again.

hehe, ya it feels big enough :-) no pun intended. The screen is great and worth every penny, even though ppl mock it for having a native res of 640x480......but i just say "mine is bigger than yours", and then they quite down :-)

I actually use 400/600 grit when i sand it, but i am not quite done with the install so i havent given it the last coat, i am still missing some plates for controllers for windows and such and then i will prolly send it to a painter instead, just to get that prof. finish.

ah...that depends on the actual dimensions of the screen...i just checked the measurements...[which i should have done before] i think i'll stick with the 7"

i guess i was wondering if anyone had stuck an 8" into a double din...i'm not too keen on doing too much fabrication since the spot i'm going to put it in is recessed...

Just wanted to show you how the dash looked before, so you can get an idea of the work involved.
