Make my own in-dash screen ?

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the plausability of making my own in-dash from a lil.

Would this be a major project ?
'cause i really don't have a lot of fiberglassing experience or anything.

I'm not too concerned about the electronics part 'cause I've got easy access to the help of an electrical engineer major, but would this even work ?

Sorry I'm so vague.

In-dash to me means the screen retracts (manually or motorized) into a DIN sized unit when it is not in use.

From the fiberglass comment you made, it seems you are meaning a screen mounted in the dash, like a permanently mounted screen secured to the dash. Which type is it that you are thinking of?

if it's fiberglass expect to spend a good 2 - 3 weeks spending a few hours everyday to get it done and looking decent....

check out the tm-701L that might help ya. not motorized.. Depending upon your car people have made them eject upwards from the dash, a la James Bond. There are other options but you will have to
