TM-700TS power question

If I have a TM-700TS connected directly to the 12V line (not the ignition wire) so it can always have direct current, is it still taking up power even if the monitor has the power button off? Even if the light is off would it still be taking current is basically my question.

it may draw a small current but nothing noticable and nothin that can hurt the battery

make sure it has a fuse!!!!

The 12V wire on the TM-700TS has a fuse already. That'll basically do right?

Armen, if I leave the monitor connected directly to the power and I shut down the computer, turn off the monitor and then shut off the car and try to power up the computer after that, the computer boots up and it shows the windows xp screen normally and the via psd splash. But when the computer finishes the windows progress bar screen and it should show the login screen i get the monitor displaying white/blue screen, kind of like a gradient thing in real time. Now the computer I can hear running and the only way to fix this issue is to manually disconnect the monitor and plug it back in, and I can see video fine. Has anyone else seen this? Is this normal?

refresh rate / resolution problem

your monitor should have an "auto" button click that and see what it does

the images you see are all pretty std before any vga drivers get loaded up etc, so your problem is not a layer 1 problem more a protocol viz resolution / refresh rate issue, that your monitor doesnt like, I vote for the refresh rate being too high to be supported by the monitor, its a pretty simple and easy thing to fix

You would think but I changed the refresh rate from 60hz to 75hz and back down to 60hz. It also stops when I disconnect it and reconnect it.
