Pay close attention to the nitts/cd-m2. If you want the monitor to be visable during the day in your car, you should exceed 300 nitts. You will find that most LCD's for home use are 200 - 250 nitts. It seems like such a waste to convert DC to AC then back to DC again. If this is your wish then you should ensure that the inverted is rated well above your needs. Look at the constant watts and not the Peek watts. Search this forum for valuable resources on determining your requirements. Read the input requirements on all your power supplies. Volt amps are multiplied by the Volts to get Watts.

If I messed any of this up, you will hear about it shortly.

Good Luck,

Gino

I use a 14 inch desktop LCD... An inverter may work.

Mine used a power brick to make 120AC into 12v DC ... So I spliced the cable and now power it from my PC power and cooling DC to DC PS. It is great. I am still saving for a touch kit

Then look on it and see what voltage it puts out dc, you may
can run it off a power supply.

Yes, but first get rid of the part that converts AC to DC inside the LCD.
And make sure 12 V is enough.

That's IF it has that. It probably takes dc right off the brick.

I would recomend 12 volt power from the DC to DC PS. It will likely be "cleaner" than directly from the battery which would have the alternator 'noise'.
