pseudofinn, thanks bro, but Digitalww has been out of stock for ages now! They even put available on 20/08/04 which never happened. I even considered converting it to indash using their tutorial but they also ran out of the indash housing the indash should be available on 20/8/04 as well, but i cant' see that. no luck... I can't wait any longer, i need to find a suitable touch vga soon.

pseudo, I have a TM701-L in my car atm. I did the Lilli conversion on it. The housing is fairly dodgy in my opinion and it wobbles when you go over bumps. Hence why I want to put the lilli in a motorized unit.

Jay, at least you have something to use at the moment, I got the whole thing except a screen and this suck. The motorized is only ~AUD $ 250 more expensive!! I realize that I should wait for it but it's been months now. Is it really that bad?

man oh man no one here has the sacks to try it out. nor pictures to prove that it can't be done. im tempted to buy one of these units just to prove it can be done. Jaykaye had a good idea about reusing the composite lcd that comes with the unit as another display, perhaps for displaying Obd-II gauges . But hey if it can't be done then **** it you will still have a motorized lilliput or xenarc. As far as the ribon cable goes, you can extend it. the extra length should not affect the voltage going to the motors. And if it does, simply add relays.

Has anyone else noticed that both the
"Innovatek" TM-7300 http://www.mp3playerstore.com/stuff_...al/TM-7300.htm
and the Xenarc VVT VGA module (used in the DWW-7VGA and possibly other Xenarc motitoirs) http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_VIDEO_MODULE.htm
seems to use a "Panasonic XGA panel" with a native resolution of 800x480.

This might actually be the EXACT SAME panel, meaning that only the controller cards need to swapped (makes a motorized flip-out VGA and a composite Xenarc) and the Touch overlay has to be moved to the motorized flip-out screen.
Since they would use the same ribbon cable connector this should be rather easy.

I've heard that you can by the controller cards separately from Xenarc.
Anyone think that this would work?
