M10000 & PCI Video Card Driver

I feel like I am running in circles with the on the topic of drivers and videocards for the M10000 and lilliput.

I have the 7" TS and thought that getting a PCI video card would solve any problems with the monitor resolution. Before I buy the M10000, I want to make sure that I will be able to use the display correctly. Is the ideal resolution 800x648 or 800x640? I understand that the native is x640 but does x648 look better?

Can someone please recommend a video card or a way to setup the m10000 so that my display will be as it is intended to be? I am very lost in the whole mess

Thanks,
Joe

Dude, you are all screwed up.
Native res for the panel is 800x480.

I haven't managed to get the lilliput to properly report 800x480 (its native resolution) even though it looked OK. I've still got it set at 800x600 for now.

Ok, thanks for correcting me frodo. Dumb typo. My question still remains however; how can I have the lilliput show its native res at 800x480? Is there a pci video card that someone has used and gotten it? Or, can a driver be used for the M10000 to allow that res? Many of the other threads are debated on how to get it. Can it be done? I guess I am really confused because I thought it was so simple and all the other threads are contradicting each other.

You can use powerstrip to add 800x480 as a custom resolution, and the desktop kind of looks right. However, the lilliput is still reporting it as 640x480 and I suspect some tweaking with the refresh rates is required. However, I've tweaked but have as yet to find the right combination of settings for the Lilliput to properly report a 800x480 resolution.

If somenoe HAS got a lilliput to report 800x480 then PLEASE post your powerstrip settings.

TTT

And i don't want to hear any *****ing about resurecting this thread.

I think that problem is with the lilliput not the Via Motherboard although VIA has problems of its own with its onboard graphics card.

As long as your are using any PCI Graphics card with custom resolutions your should get 800x480 although to my knowledge nobody has gotten the lilliput to report 800x480 with it's on screen display.

I am still searching for an answer
