showing mediacar ONLY on the second display
hi guys/gals
I am using a laptop in my carputer setup, and am using UltraMon to try to keep programs running on the right screen. I am using MediaCar and want it to display ONLY on my in-dash monitor, not the laptop's. So I am extending the desktop to the other monitor and trying to get MediaCar to run on that one every time I open it. I can move it there, but am having problems like menus opening up on the primary display, and when I close MediaCar and open it up again it goes back to the primary display. Can someone help me here? The in-dash monitor is connected to the VGA out of the laptop.
thanks!

I tried that, but then everything else goes with it too... I just want to get that one program running on only that monitor (which is why I am trying to use UltraMon). Any other ideas?

In MediaCar setup, put the screen startup location at x,0 where x is the width of your laptop screen (for example on mine, i will open MediaCar at 1600,0 for it to be on the second monitor)

I know ATI do a monitor display program, you can decided what programs you want opening on which screen.. I think its a generic program that will work on any videocard.. but dont quote me on that.. think its called hydravision or something hydra

Try Dual Monitor setup (not extended desktop etc..) Then put your in-dash display as your primary and the MC will start there!!

the problem is generaly that your videocard, cant ouput that much. If you get a newer/nicer one it'll work. Its the same thing with DVD playback.
Try playing a dvd on your primary and secondary, most likely it will only show on the primary, and a black box on the secondary. If thats the case, then you need a newer/diff video card
