you'll have to find the specs for it firstly.

Unlikely it uses lpt, more likely it just happens to have a 25-way D-plug. It'll be propriatory. It'll be a little black-and-white lcd, quite possibly with defined patterns too rather than a pixel matrix. I wouldn't even bother trying to get it working personally, without the specs it'll be nigh-on impossible, and if you do get it working, it'll be cr4p

Try passing volts over random pins, see what happens If it starts to smoke, stop, and pass volts elsewhere

If nothing happens, try 110/240 volts!

I consider it because I have 3 of them

The voltage passed over pins should be 12v or ???

If you really want to play I'd be more tempted to play with 5v initially (TTL levels). Probably one of the 4 corners will be a power line. If you have it open perhaps one of the wires internally is slightly thicker, or red? I'd guess that will be power. Pass 5v over that and a corner near it, see if you get any life.
