LOL I'm not gonna remove the case. I'm gonna make a rectangular cover with a 7" diagnol rectange cut across it. That way I won't have to open up the screen at all. Basically the cover will hide everything but the screen So it will still be under warranty

I did the mod today, and it works well.

Thank You.

Actually you are right. Of course, have been wrong before... Once I think.

Nevertheless, good point.

Edit: Oh yea, my Xenarc walked through the door about 30 minutes ago. It's nice. I hope i'm happy with it. (I didn't know it had legs too! No wonder it was $430)

Yep! I made a new cord without the "EGG".

I though that the cig lighter is already 12v Go figure. BTW: dosn't the lilli become brighter if u apply more voltage to it?

that mod dosnt auto turnd the lilliput on. its just aplies power to it when you have turned your pc on. you still have to manually push the on button on the lilliput.

Yes it applies power to it, but from waht i've read when you apply power it automatically turns on.

So how come it works for some people?

I have no experience with Xenarc, and I have modified my lilliput (removed it from its case etc)... Its been working 'fine' for several months...

Not great, its had issues from the start... From the start off I've had touchscreen problems, mostly driver related though... Screen resolution problems after booting up windows...

And recently, brightness is basicly gone now... Not sure how it happend, might have been long-exposure to sun or something like that... But if the sun is shyning now, I cant see anything (at all) on the screen... While about 9 months ago, I could still see something... Its still ok when cloudy though...

Thinking of purchasing a Xenarc, in the hope its better... Wasnt there a place you could get one without the case? Would save me opening it up (as it wont fit in my 2din slot with case)...

Oh my lilliput didnt auto-power on... Had to short the 'on' button to get that to work... Initially I had it on 'sleep' mode, but after reading how much power it used, I couldnt do that because of a vacation (and the car would have stood still for too long)...

Any more updates?

Put the Lilliput in my car today to double-test my previous results) and the sun got on it...couldn't see a THING on the display. It's not from any glare, I was staring straight in line with the screen, nothing to reflect.

The same amount sunlight on the Xenarc and you could still read it (of course it's not as good as it is without any sun) but it could be read.

I still stick with my "Get a Xenarc" statement.

Well I got my Xenarc and used it a couple times just to test. It's very nice and I have no problems seeing it in the day time. It's rather small, even smaller than I expected, but hey, I guess thats how they all are...
