Xenarc, Lilliput, Xenarc, Lilliput, Xenarc, Lilliput, Xenarc, Lilliput, Xenarc

I keep bouncing back and forth between the 2. I can't decide. Yes, I have 'd and read the threads about Lilliput vs Xenarc. Is the Xenarc really worth the extra $$$? I heard that both Lilliput and Xenarc use refirb parts. Is this true?

IMO, Xenarc is worth the extra money if you don't mind spending it. I went for the lilliput personally, but just because I couldn't stand to spend that much money on a 7 inch LCD screen...

Thats kinda where i'm at. $400+ for a 7" screen is killing me. $300 alone is even bad enough. IS the Xenarc REALLY worth the extra $100+???? I have seen alot of posts about "My lilliput doesn't work." Help me out here guys.

I went with the Lilliput and I'm gonna switch to the "New" Xenarc because I can't see $hit on a sunny day. Works great at night but it's just about impossible to use on a nice day. Other than that it works great.

if its impossible to see lilliput in day time then what make you think xenarc would be much better? it might have little more brightness but not alot. and voidunknown is your car tinted? my car has limo tint so i have no problem with my lilliput.

I'm hoping the Xenarc will be at least a little bit better. If it's not I might get the ultrabright upgrade (which btw you can add to the LCD afterwards).
Another reason I'm getting the Xenarc is for the auto turn-on.

Well I bought a lilliput a few months ago thinkin' that was a great deal. Tested it in my house and all worked great until everything was installed in my car. Plugged in the cig adapter power supply and POOF......my screen fries because of the defective power supply. So what comes out of all of this? $300 down the drain since the guys I bought it from won't do jack **** about the situation even though I think they should. They say that I can pay for shipping both ways and repair fees. Why spend that when that may end up costing close to $200 or more? I can go buy another lilliput for another $300, but why spend the $300 if the same thing will happen again? Go ahead and spend the extra $100 and save yourself the headaches. Lilliput in my opinion is garbage unless you use in your house using the ac adapter plug.

Why pay for it twice? The Lilli's are garbage. Xenarc's don't pop up here often with issues (granted, not as many own the Xens as the Lilli's) but does it make sense to drop close to 3 bills on garbage, that has probably a 75% chance of failure within 2-3 months when for an extra buck you get a US warrantable, proven better product? any 7" monitor out there has a used lcd, can't avoid that. Xenarc has better quality control, has a better controller, and is assembled better.
I haved owned and worked on both, so I speak from experience, not out of my *** like some people.
Do yourself a favor, buy the Xenarc. you will thank yourself in the long run!

Well it seems to go both ways here. Some say lilli, some say Xenarc, I was afraid this would happen... Now, just have to figure out where to buy from. If i buy from mp3car do they cover the warranty? Are there warranty problems if i buy on ebay?

with a little mod you can.. but it's risky, not endorsed by me, and voids your warranty. Do a search for an auto on mod for the lillput.
