HELP me PLEASE: Lilliput touch screen "No more controller"

I've been trying to get this touch panel to work for 2 days straight with no success (7" Lilliput touchscreen ordered from MP3Car.com). Every time I click "Add" under "Panel List" in the Touchkit software, it searchs for a second or two, and comes up with "No More controller". This is with it hooked up to USB.

I've tried hooking it up to the PS/2 port via a USB to PS/2 adapter, and then it shows PS2 something (can't remember the full name) under 'interface', but the rest of that part ("type" and "version") are blank, and no of the other options are avaliable (4 pts cal, draw test, and advanced). When clicking remove, and trying to add it again, it won't come back and shows 'no more controller' again. (It only shows the PS2 thing under Interface right after it was isntalled with PS/2 checked).

I've tried both with and without my 9 foot lilliput extention cable, same problem both ways.

I've tried two different computers, both Windows XP home (One has SP1 and all updates, the other does not).

All USB, motherboard chipset, etc. drivers are installed...

I've tried taking the lilliput apart and reseating all connectors that are visable once you open the first part of the screen (where it breaks in "half"). I didn't reseat one half of the smaller ribbon cable, as it is on the other side of the rear side of the LCD (hard to explain), and there is something covering one of the screws which I didn't want to tear off (trying not to void the warrenty, if I haven't all ready).

I've reinstalled the software countless times, both the software included on the CD and a newer version of it I found on these boards while searching (yes, I searched).

Anyway, I have no clue what to do from here. No matter what, it just comes up with "No More controller", and the touch screen NEVER works. Is it defective??? Anything else I can do??? Please help! Thanks...

Update!!

Played around with it for a couple more hours. It turns out one of the pins on the connector was bent, and was sliding into the "space" that another pin is supposed to take up. Striaghtened it out the best I could, plugged it back in, and it recognized the touch screen on the next boot up! However, after rebooting, it's no longer working... Windows says something about "USB device malfunctioned or is defective" or something.

Plus everything on my screen is now pink I think a ribbon cable is probably loose or something though, so no big deal.

I'll mess with it again after I get some sleep, then I'll update.

Thanks

Alright, I take it back... I've completely reseated all ribbon cables a total of around 7 times now, and it's STILL bloody PINK. All connections visually seem to be soldered fine, no bent pins in either the lilliput's cable or the VGA connection. Also pinching the ends any part of any of the cables doesn't do anything.

And yeah, I've tried this on more than one computer, same problem.

I had the same (pink) problem with you. Never tried to sort it out. I sent the screen back (I bought it from a local supplier http://www.hcc.com.gr/shop_gr.htm) and now I have a new one to play. Your best chance is to talk to Zip-Lock first and if he says your warranty is voided you could ask Armen if he can pass you a new vga controller (which seemed to be the problem in my case).

I wish you luck
