What 8" LCD Touch to get and where?
I would like to add a carputer to my daily driver.
I would like to go with an 8" instead of the 7" wide.
I know Lilliput makes one, but is that the best to go with?
I don't need the "best" 8", but rather a nice reliable unit at a good price.
Tried to but it won't work on 8" and going through the last 12 pages of posts yeilded no results.

Doesn't anyone want to submit a review of their 8" touch screen?

I got mine from ZIPLOCK. Fast, and no fuss. The 8in is definitely easier to read that the compressed fonts on the 7in. It is in fact even brighter than my 2yr old Xenarc.
The monitor comes with it's own power supplies, but most of all it looks like a power regulator to keep the car's 12v supply constant. The packaging is super, the screens are (I hope) not recycled (like the 7in Lillies). The only gripe is that I have to fiddle with the on/off button. It doesn't have an auto-on but will turn off when there is no video signal.
When you're driving at 100Mph+ you don't want to have to squint to read the screen.
Definitely get it from ziplock.
P.S. It is undoubtedly larger that the Xenarc TSVs when mounted.

fantomos what does quality have to do anything with this? if you buy a lillput of ebay or mp3 store its that same thing. mp3 store might better service. i have notting against mp3 store. but i think the price are lillte high and i understand why. If you want service and some one easy to deal with then buy from mp3store...

If you want to buy a screen cheap and you don't care if it's DOA then use Ebay. If you want to pay just a little more and at the same time know it will work, buy from a reputable retailer such as mp3car.com. The thing about Ebay is that although it is cheaper per unit, the fact that you may not be able to return it means that the real average cost is MORE. For cheap things like a little GPS reciever, it might make sense to buy from Ebay and just accept that there is a chance your $30 just got thrown away, but with something expensive like a screen I definitely wouldn't take that chance.

exactly. you think the final price is all product? hell no. you're paying for a) service b) quick shipping and c) guaranteed (for the most part) communication. good luck if you have a problem with an lcd you bought off ebay.
however, if you buy from here you know what you're getting and you know that if theres a problem, it will be dealt with.

and i never said a thing about quality. not every screen is perfect and if you get one off of ebay thats not working, or something broke, or its off colored, you're SOL for the most part. if you get one from digitalww.com (WHICH IS WHERE I GOT MY 8", not mp3car.com) or mp3car.com, you're assured that the issue will be solved

Actually what I meant was if Ziplock has it listed will it be cheaper than his direct buy price. A lot of online companies sell on eBay for less than their site because of eBay competition and it is a way to get inexpensive advertising.
This seller on ebay is making a huge deal about being the only authorized dealer of Lilliput. (ebay link removed)
Does anyone know what that is all about?
