Need ideas for cutting power when in-dash kit is closed
I was looking at Coyote's auto power on mod, and I had a nifty idea. Since I'm using the In-Dash kit, I don't want the LCD to be powered on if the screen is close inside the dash. So I was thinking of mounting a micro switch inside the case so that when it's close, the power is killed. As soon as you open it the power is applied and it automatically turns on.
I'm going to need a normally closed micro switch to do this (or maybe even a push button), but I'm not sure which switch/size to use. Has anyone tried this, and if so, can you tell me the p/n for a micro switch that will work nicely?
