Anyone seen mods for that screen?? for VGA or even Xbox output, 89£ cheaper than others but quality most probally doesnt compare??

I don't see anything indicating that its TFT.
If it's not, then it sucks, even it is was half the price. STDN is not viewable unless looking straight at it and especially with any sun.

If not then what would be the cheapest way for the xbox to be used incar mainly only for Xbox media center for playing mp3's and maybe some dvd's and divx?? what screen would you rekomend

I'm assuming that you could use any TFT monitor (does not need to be VGA), as long as it has RCA inputs (which almost all do). It doesn't need to be XBOX specific unless you plan on having it attached to it (like the above unit).

TFT monitors are fairly inexpensive. (The VGA ones are costly, but look so much better and are neccessary for small print, such as GPS navigation)

Digitalww.com sells non-VGA TFTs.
Check ebay too. There was even an xbox specific one that was TFT but only 5".

JUST MAKE SURE IT SAYS TFT!!
