Xenarc and EPIA at 800x480?

So far a search hasn't yielded any useful results. Before I go and blow a huge bucket o' cash on a Xenarc screen and an EPIA board, has anyone actually gotten 800x480 to work in X (with either an M-series or CL-series board)?

Maybe...I hear rumours that some people have done this with specific combinations of drivers & BIOS versions. I believe most people couldn't get it to work. Get Nvidia video and a xenarc and you should be good to go though.

Unfortunately, I suspect most of the nVidia cards are fairly power-hungry, considering how much heat they dissipate...I'd like to keep the total power consumption of the system down. If anyone who has actually gotten this to work can post the details of their configurations (driver used, modeline used, BIOS version, board type, etc etc etc), I think it would be really great to have such rumors solidified in one place.

For the record I've had 800x480 working with a Gain (Xenarc) on an ATi Radeon 9700 (so any Radeon should be fine) and also the 9100IGP of this mini-itx motherboard. All possible using PowerStrip. The 9100IGP did take some fiddling though as it's not really supported fully by PowerStrip

If anyone wants any more info on this then post.

It would be handy if you posted your powerstrip settings.
