Lilli Pads
ok fellas,, problem,, i already know the screen is friend,, but im trying to figure out what happened so i DONT do it again
after a few hours of fiddling i got all the whine out of my system (mainly all coming from the lilli) except for a little tiny bit which i figured had to be the egg regulator. So i spliced into the cables AFTER the egg and tried a few capaitors.... no luck,, then i had a novel idea,, i grounded the ground AFTER the egg as well as before the egg.. WOW,, all noise WAS gone!!!! i was very happy .... for a second,, as i ****tly grounded it,, just as a test,,
THEN i grounded it at the same place as the ground BEFORE the egg,, which the FM MOD is also grounded here and I THINK this is when the screen went out,,, though i am not positive if this is when it went out,, its kind of a blur now,, as i freaked out. But im sure my positive wire was then taped back up,,
I guess my question is,, could grounding before and after the egg cause anything like this? it doesnt seem like it could,, only if maybe it picked up some current from the negative of the FM MOD?? or maybe the gator clip as i was pulling it back ran across something,, that had voltage,, im not completely sure,, as all the wires were covered,,
any ways im lost as to what may have happened,, hell maybe the screen was ready to **** anyways,, it had gone off before like that but came back on,, but after this it was dead,, nothing.
After this happened i checked my Plug into the lilli (coming from the egg regulator) and i was getting a 12.8-13.1 volts,, AFTER the regulator,, and the lilli can handle up to 13 volts,, as i doubt .1 would blow it anyways,,
anyways,, any comments suggestiong ect,, as itll be another 2 weeks( at least) to replace this SOB.
