Hello everyone,

Been browsing/reading this Forum for about 8 months now :0)

I did Search, but couldnt find the answer to my question. I also e-mailed Digitalww a couple of times in the past 2 weeks, and never received a response. So now my hope is someone here can help me or guide me in the right direction. I ask this nicely and hope no one gets mad at me if this is somewhere, but I'm serious, I could not find the answer.

I'm looking for 7" VGA LCD. In-dash LCD would be IDEAL so I dont have to do too much mod to my dash, but I'm also considering non-dash LCD, if this will save me like $100 bucks. I would prefer to get a unit for no more than $400 (and that's really pushing it) ... more like $300 I'm thinking.

However, I don't want TouchScreen on my LCD. I really dont think I will be using the TS as it's easier just to navigate with a small keyboard. And so, dont see why I should pay for TS if I wont use it.

And I have frequenty seen that you guys recommend:

1)Is there something equivalent to either of the LCDs above (Xenarc), but WITHOUT TS?? This for in-dash and non-dash version.

2) Are all LCDs sold by digitalww Xenarc? If not, are the non-Xenarc units still pretty reliable and good video quality?

I saw this one (no touch screen) .. and $230 sounds REALLY good price:

I dont want the best and greatest ... I just want decent quality screen that wont break after few months of use (that's why i'm not buying a Lilliput).
Plan to use Screen for MP3s and maybe GPS ocassionally (but not crucial).

What is the most economic, yet reliable, Xenarc/LCD I can buy?

That definitely looks like a still "affordable" price.

Now, something else .... I promise I wont bug you guys after this and will make the decision on the LCD :0)

1) Is there a cheaper LCD that is still good in quality & reliable? If not, I think i'll go with your guy's suggestion.

2) How about an in-dash LCD that is equivalent to the one suggested & less than $400? Like I said, this would be great, because that means very little modding on my dash since I have double-din for stereo (I have a Celica GTS 2002).

3) Is the little stand on the LCD removable so that LCD can be mounted on my dash??

Your cheapest route would be to get the lilliput and sell the touchscreen off of it. You'll void your warranty though. I would also recommend the xenarc 700Y.

You won't find many other screens that will do what you want. If the xenarc or lilliput doesn't have what you want, you won't find anything better for price / performance. DigitalWW is the only one that I've seen with an indash housing.

yes the stand is removeable.

For some reason ... all my closest friends decide to get married @ around the same time and now I gotta shell out over $800 in between gifts/tuxedo rentals, etc. ahhh!!!
But I expect to buy the stuff for my mp3car in the next 2 months hopefully.
