I haven't had gain problems, but my language changed itself and I don't read whatever language it is in.
But to answer your question, I would think Nic is right. Also, make sure that your connections are tight.

My Xenarc settings all go back to factory if it the screen loses power (like if I unplug the 12V from my Opus)

Me have the same problem of the gain.
Does the under voltage perhaps cancel the data memorized in the inside eprom of Lilliput ?

Usually to maintain the data they are used eprom or eeprom(different the second category) that also without power they also preserve them for many years, therefore that problem should not be us.
However' opening the lilliput doesn't seem me there and' any buffer battery, and not even particular condensers supercap that as backup is used.
I perhaps think an inside software problem of the lilliput.
Sorry for my bad English

I have that happen once in a while and I really think it has to do with cutting the power right as it enters standby. That may be the point when it writes to the EEPROM. Mine shows NO SIGNAL for about 2-3 seconds before the SDC cuts the power which is very close to when it would go into standby.
