Saw a couple of people had problems with the new 1.16 bios-as in no post after flashing. It does sound like the KlereBak from the post had the bios working with some beta video drivers. Who knows ...

all these numbers and all these OSes are killing me.. let's solve all the problems 1 user at a time... starting with me ^_^;

I listen in here and bought a Jaton Geforce and use nview to customize 800x480. The output looks crap. and it seems to be going off the edge on the left side. Is 800 really the native resolution? Maybe it's 852. I had nview customize it as 800x480 @ 60. Am I doing something wrong?

Back from the dead...
Does anyone have a way to get a Xenarc to recognize 800x480?

I did it a MSI MX4000-T128 ( Nvidia Geforce4 chipset ) that cost only 39.99 + tax at a local computer store without third-party software ( Powerstrip ) via the NView applet.

Post you Advanced Timing settings, for everybody. There seem to be some nVidiats that can't get it to display properly.

Me, I'll stick wit 4:3

I think this guy did it with an ATI video card. I tried it exactly as he described it, and it didn't work for me.

I copied / pasted the relevant part into the attached word document.

but that's an AGP card... most if not all of the people in this thread are dealing with the VIA boards which are PCI only...

hopefully that same chipset will work, plan to pick one up tomorrow morning and get started with the efforts...

No, you cannot do it with a via epia at this time. You need an add-on graphics card (AGP or PCI) plus powerstrip to do it. Even with those, there has been mixed success over the years.

I'm quite certain the bus ( AGP/PCI ) shouldn't matter if it's the same chipset. I'll post my timings and we would be glad if you would let us know your results, I'm sure. The PCI's will be more expensive though...

And millec, I tried that as well and aslo failed.
