Will having a larger screen size make up for a dim display ??

I see monitors going on ebay all day long, I want to try and use a household type monitor ((I already have an inverter etc.... Dont plan to switch to a 12v supply either)) anyways, it is VERY VERY dark in my truck ((VERY tinted windows, and a the monitor is mounted down low.... Truck is mostly driven at night anyways..... Anyways now, I see the liliput is 200:1 at 400 nits.... I'm seeing 12.1" Touch monitors going on ebay all the time for 150.... THey are 180:1 contrast at 200 nits.... I can house somthing like this ((I'll post pics of my enclosure later)) anyways, I can house something this big, but I think that 180 nits would be pretty dim, would the monitor being so big and my truck beiing so dark make up for this ??? Just wondering.... Thanks

Your truck being very dark may make up for it. If you're only driving at night, you won't have any problem. But if it's bright daytime, you probably want the extra nits even in your tinted cabin.

If you can, you might want to test it out with a laptop of known brightness.
