Xenarc 700TSV with brightness kit!!!

I have a 700TSV without the brightness kit and got a 700TS (although I've ordered a 700TSV ) with the brightness kit!!!
The picture quality is awfull.. It is full of "pixels" (tiny red/green ones).. Definately not worth it!!!
I ordered it from XenarcDirect... Got the wrong version, paid TOO much for the customs and got a screen that didn't want with awfull quality!!!
This will delay VERY much my fabrication... My car is without a console for 1 week now and it will be for more, unless I use the 700TSV without the kit I have!!! I think this is what I'll do!!

I think the new Xenarcs have the brightness upgrade installed by default. I thought the upgrade was for the "older" Xenarcs. Don't feel too bad about your console. When my 6.5" NEC panel went bad I had no console for over a year. Also no music!

I have the car for 2,5 years!!!!
Half of this period either the door panels miss, the console or something else!!!!
The fabrication is almost complete but this delays me!!
I hope XenarcDirect will refund me for the brightness kit and get me a 700TSV and not a 700TS!!!!!

All LCD can have dead pixels. Even if it's brand spanking new. There is a threshold for the amount of dead pixels a new product can have before it is classified as defective. I don't remember the threshold and how it is related to size of screen. I think if you do a you'll find out. If it's within the threshold, that's really bad as it's not going to be classified as defective.

It doesn't have dead pixels... But it is like the touch-screen overlay is full of red and green pixels....!!!!
I will stick with the 700TSV without the brightness kit...

Wait, take a deep breath and relax - Xenarc has a no dead pixel policy. It is documented clearly on their website. SO - contact Xenarc customer service ASAP.

My dealings with their customer support in the past have been VERY positive. Contact their tech support by phone ASAP. They will help you out. If you've already done so, write about your experience with them on these boards.

I have yet to hear someone to be disappointed with their service. Good Luck.

How about you post pictures about what you're talking about - if it's not dead pixels, I don't have a clue what it could be.

Also, on another note, I had spoken with Xenarc's engineers in the past about the brightness kit - they said the AG coating they use is on the LCD ONLY - NOT on the touchscreen. The Touchscreen will still produce glare.

Let us know what happens.

from www.xenarc.com 's FAQ. section

Q: Why is there black points or bright dots (red, blue, or green) on the LCD monitor?

A: The LCD screen is made with high-precision technology. However, in rare instances, you may experience black points or bright points of light (red, blue, or green) which may appear constantly on the LCD screen. This is not malfunction and is part of the LCD manufacturing process. However, we guarantee that the effective dots is more than 99.999%. This is a guarantee better than most of the major LCD monitor manufacturers. And if you are still not satisfied with your screen due to any number of dead pixel, you can always send it back and we'll replace it for you free of charge!
