Touchscreen issue

Just got my Lilliput and wanted to try it out before I open it up wanted to check if everything was working. I hooked it up to the VGA port on my laptop and the VGA comes alive with no problemss. When I try to install the touchscreen kit it detects the com port etc and it starts transfering the file, during installation the pc freezes on me. I tried disabling the touchpad on my laptop just to check if that was what was caussing a conflict but did the same thing. I unplugged the USB and tried installing, but again it was picking up my com port even though the USB wasnt plugged in?? and it stalled again. Any suggestions anybody?

this has been discussed many times before

is the rule of thumb in this one, BUT, to summarise -

UNINSTALL ALL of the existing software for the lilli. ALL of it, even registry entries.

Disconnect the Lilliput from the PC.

Install the drivers WITHOUT THE SCREEN ATTACHED TO THE PC

then, install the lilliput, and it will be detected like plug n play, AND will find the drivers you installed...

then, its supposed to work...

hmm.. Newbie question but have to ask.. how do I remove the lilliput from registry
