LCD on mother board

I have an ASUS CUW-AM mother board that has 2 sets of 20 pin headers for LCD connection. Any one know if I can directly drive n LCD from an old laptop from this?
I cannot find the exact manual from HP or ASUS in regard to this MB. Its from a Pavillion7919.
Any help appreciated!

Julie

That is most probably for parallel LCD displays. The ones that can show temp. and stuff.

Asus had made a actual daughterboard that was supposed to connect to those pins that added an LCD controller. but i've never seen any place to buy them.

ASUS does not support the boards. It was sold to HP as a propiatary MB. I spent an hour talking to some one in India HP and got no where. Sorry, but their service/tech dept s**ks.

ASUS also supplies to Dell.

Ahhh well... Nice idea...

You give up too easy, I'm sure somebody somewhere has them.

Asus boards sold to hp are almost identical to others that they sell to the public. I was able to flash the bios on an HP Asus mobo from a retail asus mobo to enable 533fsb output for a Pentium 4 upgrade.

The answers are out there.
