You're going to need a controller for it, which are not cheap. Using bare LCDs is probably a Top 3 question on this board, so you should be able to find the gory details with little problem. Short answer, it's most likely not worth it, you're better off with a complete kit.

Check with the seller. He sells these constantly, sometimes with controllers, sometimes without. I'm sure he can tell you which one you'll need. Probably even sell you one.

BTW, the screen doesn't appear to be very good. 640x480, 4096colors. I don't remember what the brightness is but I recall it was pretty low.

really? hmmm... yea i'm not real savvy with LCD's... i'll prolly be better off with regular LCD and get a TS overlay... or just get a lilliput or innovative screen (xenarc is outta my league)

I saw the same item and asked what was included and needed to get it to work.
This was his response email.

Thanks for the inquiry. This is a panel with the touchscreen attached. I
have the VGA controller, hirose cable, inverter and cable for $175
delivered. THe touch contrioller is available from any good supplier or
from www.earthlcd.com
Hope this helps.

Thanks!!!

This looks like the DennisK kit offered way back in the beginning of LCD installs. It's a decent screen, except for the 12 bit (4096) color. It may not be acceptable (depending on the person viewing) for video playback. It's ok for most everything else. The panel used was the LQ9D161...you may want to ask him which panel he's currently using.
