I recently purchased an inexpensive 12.1 Planar Touch Screen from a computer surplus company in northern California. I replaced the LCD and now I am happy with the image quality and brightness. My issue is with the touch screen. After calibration, if you turn the monitor off, the touch screen will not respond until I terminal into it. Considering the price I paid, I can live with it, but would really like to figure out a solution.
Details:
Windows XP Pro
TP4 Controller – Serial Connection
2.20 firmware
3M Touchware 5.64 SR4 - I have tried all legacy drivers from 3M as well with the same result.
The best information I have found can be found
here.
I am wondering if I could use
this firmware upgrade.
I assume that if I try it and it fails, my controller is toast??
I have not tried
these drivers, but will tonight or in the morning.
Should I replace the controller all together? How can I insure compatability?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
