Exclamation simple message on how i fixed my Lilliput TS 7"

So i had a Nehemiah M10000 board and the Lilliput TS 7" (pretty popular combination). About 2 months ago there was an un-explained problem in my car that caused my carputer to lose it's Windows/system32 directory (or files within). Regardless, the carputer woulnd't even start up. Decided to do a fresh install on XP and that went flawlessly. NO MATTER WHAT I DID THOUGH I COULD NOT GET THE TOUCHSCREEEN TO WORK. As a matter of fact unplugging and plugging the USB that leads to the touchscreen wouldn't even pop-up a "found new hardware" or "found new device" message. Something was up. Took it to a friend and he explained to me that the USB portion of the touchscreen is USB2.0 and thus it needs the Windows Service Pack 1 in order to operate. I put on Service Pack 2 (took FOREVER), but sure enought the touchscreen worked and i am now back again in carputer heaven. Just thought i'd share how i fixed a problem of mine. if other people are having a similar problem check to see if you have service pack 1 installed (or sp2). might help

Not true

The touchscreen interface on the Lilliput is USB 1.1 not 2.0

I'm running mine on a PC with XP Pro with USB1.1 hardware no problems.

You must of had a different problem with your drivers.

Cheers

Anyway, original WindowsXP did not have drivers for USB 2.0 ports integrated. If you want to make them work, or you have to update using SP (1/2), or install USB2 drivers from your EPIA CD (buggy). Otherwise, these USB 2 ports on Epia (not all of them) are not active I believe.

So TRUE.

edit: looking into face of yours, Aksor, it is kinda similar to my avatar... would you believe it?

[OT] Aah, I miss that guy, he was so hilarious beyond believe, the shells were falling over his head and still insisting that the "enemy" was defeated and retreated. I used to wait for his briefs. They should put him om comedy central.
