Does Xenarc 700TSV & Xenarc MP-SC1 allow 800 x 480?

I've recently purchased a Xenarc 700TSV LCD monitor and I'm contemplating purchasing a Xenarc MP-SC1 mini computer. I was wanting to know if anyone knows if the onboard video adaptor of the MP-SC1 allows the output of a 800 X 480 resolution with or without the use of software like Powerstrip? All I know is that the MP-SC1 uses the Intel 815EG chipset and I don't know the specifications or capabilities of the video adaptor. Anyone from here have any first hand experience from this hardware combination or know otherwise?

Thanks in advance.

I suggest you contact Xenarc, I have not seen anyone here who has used a Xenarc PC.

Thanks Garry. I called Xenarc and spoke to a tech support person and they informed me that none of their mini pc's output a 800 X 480 resolution and that all ATi Radeon cards should be able to output a 800 X 480 resolution.

Guess I'm going to have to look at purchasing a mini-itx motherboard with a pci slot so I can use a Radeon card. I really want to use the native resolution of the Xenarc lcd monitor. Sigh....

I have a radeon 9800 pro in my main machine and you have to force 800 x 480, it wont do it on its own.

What exactly do you mean by force 800 X 480? Do you mean with the use of Powerstrip?

Yes, that's what I mean. You can't just slide the slider over to 800 x 480.

Well as long as that works, I don't really mind. Just as long as I can use the native resolution of 800 X 480.

You should be able to force the resolution you want... if not, 800 x 600 is a good compromise.
