A few questions about both Lilliput and Xenarc 7" touch screens

Please confirm this:
Both Lilliput and Xenarc 7" touch screens are connected via USB and VGA. I will not have any trouble running a USB male-female and VGA male-female extension from the rear of my car, up to the dash, right? That statement assumes the length of cable required is less than 15ft (max for USB 2.0). Reason I ask is, I saw a weird connector on mp3car.com/store for the Lilliput, but it seems to be the old type... I hope its more simple now.

I have not decided on which brand to go with, but can anyone shed some light on fitting these screens into a double din space? I have to make it clear that my dash bezel is wood grain trim and I can not do any custom painting or fabrication to it. The most I am willing to do is dissassemble the case and attach it to a modified Metra aftermarket frame.

They are the new type.
