Screen switching off while cranking?

Does youe screen goes off during cranking?

If the voltage drop is hign enough due to crank then the screen may switch off just like the PC?

Mine does, I'm probably going to wire it to the Opus when I get it back. It's a bit annoying to have to turn the LCD back on. If you've got your Lilliput wired to an accessory lead (a lead that supplies +12v when the key is in both the accessory and run positions, but not in the crank position) then it has nothing to do with voltage drop. Accessory leads supply no current during crank, this is to supply the starter with the maximum required current to turn over the engine. Wiring to the Opus is probably the best solution, then it will be on whenever the PC is on.

Same here, mines wired to the PSU but on my Jeep it turns off just after the pc starts, before I start the car! I think I need a better battery. Bit of a waste of time doing Coyotes mod!
Although I did have the power line to the screen controlled by a relay connected to the com port. That way the screen stays off until Windows is started, you don't see any of the boot/resume screens etc.
When it's working it's spot on but the transistor eventually goes 'tits up' and I need to replace it. I don't know if I using the wrong kind of transistor or maybe it's back emf that's doing it...
