How much will tinting your windows help with the glare of the LCD?
Any certain darkness?

also, how much is it in general would it cost,
to tint 5 windows on my Subaru Impreza?

Last time I had windows tinted on a sedan it was $165. It cost me $50 to have the two front windows tinted to match the dark factory tinting of my truck. It will help. I have 20% all around in my truck (see sig) and had 35% on the last 2-3 hatchback and sedans I have had. 20% is not legal. Depends on your state. VA is 50% from driver forward. I had 50% on those front windows, my old roomie had 20% all around and got pulled over 3 times in 2 years for it.

How good a job do shops usually do at that? I've seen some aftermarket tint installs that looked horrible, lots of air bubbles and such.

Did it myself, it costed me 100 euro, but was a hell of a job.
trust me it's worth paying!!!
unfortunatly the glare is still there on bright days. a friend of my, whois car is also on my site (golf 4) doesn't have glare with 50% tinted. so there's hope :P

I've tinted 4 of my windows with film. Looks very nice. Back then I didn't have a screen, but I can surely tell, if I did it would've reduced the glare. I've since removed the front ones, becouse during the night time I coudn't see a thing in my side mirrors, so you should consider this too...

Try not to get the silver to black tints (like I did) cause it will be VERY difficult to see anything on the side mirrors. If you do, get like a 20% on the silver part. It looks REAL good tho.

I have 5% on rear window, and 20% on all 4 sides of my 2001 BMS 325i. The tint helped a ton.

PAY a pro - and make sure you check out their work and ask about warranty before you do it. I have tinted all windows in my house (easy - they are flat) but curves are NOT easy.

I have tinted windows with film which cost me 20 bucks for all windows in my car except the front one. Its a Toyota Corolla 2004 and the darkness might be equal or a bit less than bush's cadillac.

It all depends where you live, the laws that allows you to have a certain darkness. Down here in Ecuador (South America) you need to get a permit to tint your windows, I don't have a permit but I tell cops I have $2.00 and that he could take it or take his time to take my film out.

It does help a lot if you tint your windows. Before I tinted my windows, I had problems looking at my screen. The only problem would be looking at your mirrors. I have to pull them down if I start wreckless driving.

Got my WRX's windows tinted for $120. I got 20% all around (5% on sunroof). It was a really great buy, looks fantastic.

20% is incredibly illegal where I live (NY is 70% on rear side and nothing on the front), but everyone has tints so there really aren't any problems with having them. It could be different where you are.
