usb plug defective?

every time I plug the touchscreen usb cable to the pc my system finds SIX new pieces of hardware, and none of them takes the right driver, they remains "unknown devices" and no way to make touchscreen work. I think my unit is defective, I tried to open it and clean each ribbon connection with no luck, any last idea before returning it for RMA? I really don't like the idea

Did you install the driver first?
Installed the driver, then plugin the USB TS.

What TS are you using? If its a Lilliput, add another problem to the list. Also, try the new drivers, I've had problems where Windows thought the INF files were corrupted.

Yes it's a lilliput but I don't thint it's a software issue, on another machine with usb1.x I haven't been able to make my touch recognizer, I plug the usb connector and nothing happens
I'm gonna take an RMA for it, I hope it is a 2 years warranty
