LinITX 7" Widescreen Touchscreen Monitor Review
After having this screen for a month or so, I've finally finished the review/comparison, which is available for you all to view right here
Any feedback/questions, feel free to post

good review Garry, cheers for taking the time and effort. Now got to weigh it up - Xenarc or LinITX. Lack of auto power on is a big problem!

However lookiing at the pic i think that it would look much more OEM compared to other screens if you left the buttons usable. The Lilliput (mainly) and Xenarc screen buttons just would not look right in my car. These ones look nice and chunky and 'car like'. Any news on the 'looking into a new touch screen' issue?

I don't know what settings you've got on your browser, but the text size with Normal font sizes are exactly the same as default here on the forums

Yeah, they are quite nice looking, and don't stick out as much as the buttons on the Lilli/GAIN ones do.
The most that I know about it is that LinITX have passed on my comments to the manufacturers, who are looking into it. I haven't heard any more regarding that yet (it's only been a few days since that happened). As soon as LinITX know, I will know, and I will pass on the information.
However, it is still better than the Lilliput touchscreen overlay.

Yeah, it think Lilliput has had it! Now its a 2 horse race between Xenarc and this one. Does LinITX sell the black Xenarc with remote i head of on another thread?

Nice review
Have you still got the LinITX. I'm curious about the size, wether it would fit in a double din without much modding.
Cheers

Scouse Monkey,
I don't believe they do. However, feel free to get in touch with them and enquire about it.
phatbenny,
No, I dont' have the display any more, I had to give it back (as I can't afford at this moment to buy it!)
Size wise, like almost all 7" displays, when they are in their casings, they won't fit into a double-din opening without a little work. The LinITX casing is slightly less wide than the GAIN, but slightly taller.
Outside of the casing (if you wish to do so, however this will invalidate your warranty) the screen will fit very nicely into a double-din opening.
I believe LinITX will also be trying to get hold of some spare bezels in the future, in case you wish to mould the screen into the dash.

I'm surprised you didn't figure out my dislike for the Lilliput in that review, I tried to compare all three screens, and in almost everything, the Lilliput came out bottom.
Super-Quick Lilliput Review
Pros:
Low price
Bright - can be used as a good blinding device at night
Quite good colour representation in videos.
Cons:
High brightness causes image to appear washed out
Touchscreen overlay prone to breaking/losing settings/edges not working
The feel cheap, plasticy, and not very sturdy
Tend to break if you look at them funny
Almost impossible to see during the day if there's any sunlight
I can only really suggest a Lilliput as a secondary monitor purely for video/visualisations. However, LinITX are getting a non-touchscreen version of their screens soon, with a price or approximately £145, so that would be an even better buy IMO.

Is this the same screen which DigitalWW sells? They look so similiar - even the writing at the top right corner looks identical. If it's not the same, does anywhere but LinITX sell this? Thanks.

Very nice review. I feel so much better now that I've ordered this (not here yet).
What do you mean no auto switch to composite video? I've bought an automatic swich reverse cam from cartft.com.
Are you saying I bought the CCD cam for nothing?
