Can you tell me how does it feel? Does it really feel like real buttons?

I saw a mouse that was like this. You could feel the mouse bump when you rolled over a button. The original design was to allow people to "feel" things like fabrics while shopping online.
Find a mouse like that....hack it up....and put the motor behind the frame of a touchscreen.

I have no idea what are you talking about Wolfman.. are you refering more toward force feedback controllers? It's seems to be different with an LCD screen... how would one feel something that is supposed to be flat?

to 99C5Vert: lol.. that is so funny.. I almost choked on my gum reading that. thanks for the laugh. lol.

I did more reading on the alpine. It uses a layer sandwiched between the lcd and touchscreen to expand and contract the buttons. In other words the buttons feel raised.

I remember reading somewhere that our fingers are sensitive to feel something 1/100 th of a human hair thick, so it wouldn't be that big of a change to make it something you could feel. I did hear about something like this screen though, but it used a slight electrical current to trick your finger into thinking you had touched something.
