Possible solution for people with screen interference (Pics)

After having probs with my xenarc/gain and getting ignition noise on it i decided to try and figure out what it was. Well i am using a DC-DC convertor which is supposed to ensure a regulated 12v feed. Well , it may be regulated but certainly not clean. Many people said they used their opuses for the feed and all is well. I tried this and it seemed to sort the noise (hortixoltal lines on it) and also the fadeing when i started the car. Well through my days of car audio i had accumilated a 'Shark Noise Power Filter' which actually cleans the power going to the 12v line. I bought this from maplin.co.uk once in a vain attempt to fix some alternator whine which in the end was some annoying ground loop. SO i thought id give it a try. My results were suprising. All of the visual noise lines etc had gone. Didnt seem to fix the dimming when i started which is surprising as the opus as a circuit designed to store current when the car is started so voltage doesnt drop but all the noise has gone.

Heres a pic of it: -

And here is a pic of its guts: -

Anyone know whats in it and why it seems to work so well?

Ill keep using it and let you know how it goes but early impressions are very good.

Most noise suppressors are just an inductor (the big thing with the blue tape in the picture above) and a capacitor. These two components form a filter to attenuate a range of frequencies that cause undesired results in electronic equipment.

TGIF!!!!

You might look at these:

Not sure if they're exactly what you're looking for, but I'm guessing someone around here can confirm or deny.

Looks like a fancy version of an in line noise suppressor kit I purchased at radio shack. Just mounted on a board. Mine worked great at eliminating noise and interferance.
