Post Using a laptop monitor on VGA card....

Harlo people... this place has been busy since i last dropped in. Havn't had an mp3car since i blew up the lappy in the boot. (imitation drifter ). Financial difficulties have kept me away unfortunately.......

ANYWAY,

just buncing around on the net and i came along this page:

http://www.ocfaq.com/article.php/modding/lcd/85

WHICH HAD A LINK TO THIS PAGE:

http://a26.lambo.student.liu.se/?sec...project=vgalcd

It seems a little limited in functionality but i figa that the knowledge is best shared with you all here.

Psst: If this has been posted since i been gone then plz delete post

I've seen something like this before. It seems like an awful lot of work for basically nothing in my mind.

That's pretty cool, I've never seen it before. To tell you the truth, I was rolling my eyes when I clicked on this topic, thinking "another idiot asking about connecting a laptop LCD to VGA..." My apologies to you SOBIL, this is a nice find.

The schematic seems simple enough. I might give it a shot if I get hold of a panel sufficiently cheaply. Not sure what I'd do with it though...

I've seen that one before, you would need that same exact LCD to accomplish it because every LCD is different.
