How hard to hack Clarion/ similar in dash dvd screen

Hi,

Saw a post a few days ago with someone mentioning they did a replace on the lcd module in a Clarion in-dash DVD with lilliput and ts.

Question is: How hard do you think this would be to do?

It just a matter of opening the product, replacing the screen installing the controller?

Any input on the subject would be great

Regards

I said that,
There is a model...http://store.yahoo.com/discave/vrcl7inlcdvi.html
we put in a tview model we got for 200$
The screen was replaced, then the additional Vga controller was mounted with the regular lcd controller. The guy who did this, had to cut the bottom of the unit and expanded it by welding a little pouch if u will. then he did some soldering and used a vga to rca converter( mounted externally) getting the signal out from the normal controller to the Video in the VGA controller.
IT works, and image quality is actually almost the same, just seems a bit distant, but who cares, we sold this 1600 to a guy who has a carputer...rich bastard

I dont really know how nice the guuy will be to let me open his dash and take pics of it.

And besides that, I am really trying right now to bring in the motrized indash screens, i am expecting end of month! hopefully before we launch the ratail incar omputer systems.

it should be much cheaper then 1200 if costs for parts
