in-dash screen...RIP :(
My in-dash xenarc I got from Armen a few months back is now pretty much in ruins!
It would not retract properly and whilst I was driving, a friend who was a passenger in my car attempted to force it in too much! Im not sure how, but the vga cable got damaged (thers a small chunk cut into it) the picture is now permanently red and the touchscreen no longer functions! Im not very happy right now! MY carPC is in ruins already!

My carputer currentlly runs on another car, a Ford Escort. I'm testing it on this car first, and I'll install it in the Megane in the summer. As far as the mounting in the Megane goes, I'm waiting for a motorized in dash housing to come out. I'll probably be out until then... or at least I hope so...

actually, all you have to re-do is replace the cord then. i'm not sure about xernac, but the lilliputs are almost close to serial cables. just some resoddering of the old line to the new, as long as you know what goes to what :-)

I will send you a new cable if you pay for shipping. Will you be able to install it?

If this was a Lilliput, Pacmayne would be jumping up and down and pointing saying 'SEE! SEE! I TOLD YOU SO!'
Based on your experience, any suggestions for other people with this enclosure on what to watch out for to avoid damage?

do you sell replacement Lilliput cables? I have an in-dash unit *points to profile pic* but the connector went bad. I was going to do a serial cable cap end replacement, but i rather have the manufacturer part then a hack job.
