Question Do all touchscreen use a USB to connect?

Hey guys, I was wondering if all touchscreen LCD's use a USB or PS2 to send the info. from the touchscreen to the computer?
I know the use a VGA, S-Video, Serial port, or RCA to send the video signal but is the touchscreen feature only sent through USB or PS2?
Or are there ones that send all the info through a VGA or Serial port??

Thanks for any help,

Justus

BTW did searching (but only a 4-5 hrs. worth )

The reason I ask is b/c I want to have just one cable that transfers the data to the video and from the touchscreen.
But so far all of the screens use two seperate cables

Thanks Justus

The only screen that I know of that sent USB and video signal at the same time is Apple Cinema (actually it also carried power). Other than that, you would have to look at some proprietary setup to find a one-cable solution.

You won't find anything like that for a standard PC. Your video data will always be on a separate cable then any controller data. You can make your own cable and connector and just combine and separate all the lines at both ends.

Tough. The screens require one cable for the VGA display signal and one for the touchscreen control.

SpyderJL,
Your touchscreen is an input device just like a keyboard or mouse. You remember serial mice right?
