Help!!! Trying to connect Xenarc to my laptop

Hi everyone....I've been reading this forum for about 2 months now just gathering information for my carputer project.

I finally started ordering stuff for my project. The first thing I got was the Xenarc touch screen. It got here today and I am trying to connect it to my laptop. It is connected through the 15-pin connection, the usb is connected, and the software is installed. When I restart my laptop, the xenarc only displays the windows loading logo, and when it gets to the user login, it goes black and powers of after a few seconds.

I right clicked on my desktop, went to the settings tab in Display Properties , and saw that multiple monitors under "Display" is selected.
What else do I need to do.
Thanks.

I'm guessing that the display can't handle the res or refresh rate the notebook is sending to it. Try lowering those settings (eg: 800x600 @ 60Hz). If that doesn't do it, try PowerStrip....

Thanks for the response....that was one of my problems.
The other one was that my port was not enabled. For future reference, on compaq/hp laptops, this is done by pressing FN F4.
